The Thalassa House is located in a very nice place in the west end of the village, 400m from the centre of the village. The village Plakias is on the south coast of Crete, in the region of Rethymno which is in the middle of the island and makes it easy to visit the other parts of the island, the gorges, the mountains, the archeological places and the rest of the natural beauty of Crete. Very close to Plakias is the historical monastery of Preveli with its palm-river and palm-beach. Many other wonderful beaches with clear water surround Plakias.
